I learned something today....

I learned that I can clean up throw up and I am capable of doing it without throwing up myself. This is the one thing that seriously scared me about being a parent. I really really really did not think I could do it. That was NOT going to be my job. But what am I supposed to do when Brett is at work and Boston is throwing up all day? Clean it up, love my little guy, and do lots and lots of laundry. It's been a long day but I think we've made it through and we'll be good as long as Brett and I don't get whatever Boston has. Poor little guy.On a happier note, look at this cute picture of Boston and his cousin Nash is the tub. I wish I could say "What cute little fat babies" but Boston actually looks really skinny next to Nashy. We thought he was catching up, but we might've been wrong.

Playing catch up again

I have been so bad at the blogging thing lately. Since Boston doesn't sleep all day long anymore and is pretty mobile now and in to everything I spend a lot less time on the computer and more time playing. Plus Brett is home a lot in the winter so we are hanging out with him alot of the time too, and we like that :) Anyway, here's what we've been up to the last month....

Awhile ago we went to Jump On It with our friends Brad and Chanel, their boys and Kyler. For those of you that aren't familiar with Jump On It, it's a huge warehouse with like 50 trampolines all linked together. Great place to take your kids to get their energy out but kind of a dangerous concept. I'd like to get the statistics on how many kids get hurt here per week. :) I guess with a boy I'm just going to have to learn to shut one eye or both and hope for the best.

Teamwork....Carter is steering, Boston is pushing

A couple of weeks ago we were babysitting Shane so we went down to Orem and grabbed our nephew Gray and took them to Kangaroo Zoo. They had fun and were extremely worn out.

Last weekend Brett and I met my parents in Vegas. We were hoping for warmer weather :( but it was still a nice little getaway.
In front of the volcano at the Mirage

Since it was rainy and cold pretty much the entire time, my mom and I did a lot of shopping. Brett and my dad were so good about it. haha. This is my dad while we were shopping. We came back and caught him like this. He had found a nice little bench to take a nap on in the middle of the mall.

We ate at ESPN Zone one night and Boston was playing the funniest game with Brett. This video cracks me up.

When Boston was born I had every intention of getting his pictures taken every couple of months. Well, I did newborn pictures and these....that's still good right? We do have a lot of unprofessional pictures.

How Sweet
Nashy

We had a good Valentine's Day. Neither of us are huge fans of Valentine's Day. It is a pretty pointless holiday. I'm not sure how it even came to be but my guess is that if it was a woman who came up with it it was for garaunteed flowers and if it was a man it was for garaunteed sex. So true right? haha. Brett did get me flowers and chocolate and the Wii Fit which I am so excited about! We went to breakfast instead of trying to fight the dinner crowds, and then we went to a movie that night. So all in all it was a great day.
Plus, I got a card that sings this song...if you're married, definitely listen to this, and if you're not, still listen to it because it's hilarious.

I think I'm all caught up now. :) Hope everyone is doing well!

Boston, make your "funny face"!

LOL. We're not really sure why Boston makes this face, but it cracks me up every time he does it. He does it when he is really proud of himself for something or when he is just being silly. So funny. We have him trained now to do it on command.

First Shiner

Boston got his first "shiner" the other day, so sad but I am gearing up because I'm sure it won't be his last. Poor guy is just trying to figure out this whole moving around thing and has had so many bumps and bruises the last couple of weeks. He either falls flat on his face or falls backwards and hits the back of his head. The good thing for me is afterwards he always wants to cuddle me for a long time. The other day he was up on his knees by our bed and lost his balance. He fell and hit his eye right on the steel bedframe that sticks out under the mattress. Poor little dude. If you make the picture bigger you can see better, he got a little cut on his eye and a nice bruise to go with it.

I haven't been so good at blogging lately. I think I may have gotten a little burned out there for awhile. Now I've got to play catch up. So just for fun here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks....

Brett and my brothers rock climbing. Don't you love Brett's headband? haha

Boston rock climbing. He really was holding on here all by himself, just being spotted of course. My boy is pretty tough but don't be deceived by this picture. He was SCREAMING, the most scared cry I've ever heard, but we laughed cause we thought it was cool that he could hold on by himself. We are so mean.

Caught him giving himself kisses in the mirror. He would kiss himself then get all excited, bouncing up and down and then do it again. So cute.

Helping Mom and Dad pick out a treadmill

There is a sweet sledding hill by our house. We went the other day with Brett's family and some friends. I think we realized when we got there that we had too many babies and it was really cold but it was still fun.

Halle and Gray pretending to drive the snowmobile. This is all Gray really wanted to do.

Dave and Jenny and the twins, don't they look cute in their matching coats!

This picture cracks me up! How FAT does Boston look in this picture! LOL!! He looks like he weighs like 50 pounds! My sweet little marshmellow man. He didn't have a thick winter coat and this borderline ugly full snowsuit was all I could find at 10:30 at Walmart the night before. I think this rivals the kid from "The Christmas Story"

Happy Holidays!

This year we spent Christmas time in Boise. We left on the 17th and came back on the 27th. We had lots of fun, spent Christmas Eve at my Grandma's house with my mom's side of the family, went and saw a couple of movies (Bedtime Stories= great!, 7 pounds= "renter"), went skiing, bowling, and even got in a little relax time in the middle of all the Holiday craziness. Here are a few pictures of what we've been doing the last couple of weeks...

Helping Daddy drive to Boise (at a gas station having a little stretch/break from the carseat)

Proud Dad moment...We all know Brett is crossing his fingers for a baseball star

Christmas Eve jammies and yummy candy cane :)

Christmas Morning

Boston's favorite Christmas present. We've discovered that Boston LOVES balls, Loves them!

Before we went skiing

Boston and his cousin Nash at Fat Cats with Brett's family

Another proud Dad moment....Boston is PALMING the ball here and actually seems to prefer to hold it this way. He does this with his little football too. So, maybe we'll have a basketball player? or maybe a Quarterback?

Where have we been?

I haven't posted for a little while. Figured it was time I caught up a bit. We've been busy at our house. I've been chasing Boston aorund, yes he is "army crawling" and getting fast. (I have this on video and will upload it soon), been doing lots of hair trying to get everyone in before we leave town for the Holidays, and this last week we were in Park City for a few days for some relax time. Here are some random pics from the last couple of weeks.
Boston driving his Escalade...well, Costco's Escalade

Some family pictures we had taken over Thanksgiving

Our friends Brad and Chanel and their boys came up to Brett's parent's condo in Park City with us. These are their handsome little dudes. We got a picture of their kids up there but none of our own... maybe next time Boston

PRIVATE

I know I said I was going to go private, and I still am. I just haven't taken the time to enter all of the email adresses yet. Call it laziness. I'm planning on doing it on Sunday so if you haven't left me your email address yet, do it before Sunday! :)
